Social Media

When I come up with the final name of my trailer, I will be creating a twitter page and a Facebook page as I feel like this is a way of people to find out about my trailer. I will be posting updates on these pages about all the latest goings on's and what is happening with the trailer itself.

Risk Assessment

Using the software Microsoft Excel I have put together and completed a risk assessment. A risk assessment is when it is showing all the possible risks for a certain project or place. I have completed a risk assessment in order to assure that everyone that is participating in my final trailer knows exactly what the risks are when filming. However I have also provided them with the steps they need to follow in order for them to ensure that they are all safe and nothing goes wrong. In my graph I have highlighted the final box green and red. The green box is where all of the risks apply to my final trailer and then the red box is where they have nothing to do with my final trailer.
As I will be filming in some very busy locations this means that there is a chance that I could lose someone. This is why this risk applies to my trailer. In order to make sure that everyone is safe before we go and film in these locations I am going to create a group chat with everyone in it. This means that everyone participating will have everyone’s numbers. So if a participant were to get lost from the group then we could call them so we know exactly where they are. I will also be providing all of the participants with a location to meet at if we were all to lose each other meaning if our mobile phones were to all dye then we would all know how to find each other.
I will also be driving all my participants to all of these different locations. This means that when travelling from destination to destination I will ensure that all of the participants are wearing their seatbelt’s just incase anything were to happen. As I will be filming at an airport and then on an aeroplane I need to make sure that everyone feels safe and in order to do this. This is why I have said that if anyone feels uncomfortable then they will need to tell someone straight away so then they can deal with the situation. For example if someone see’s any baggage which is left unattended then they will be instructed not to go up and touch the baggage as it could be very dangerous.
I have also highlighted some box’s red on my risk assessment. This means that the risk will not be occurring in my final trailer. For example I do not believe that anyone is likely to have an allergic reaction when filming as I am not filming with animals or using an chemicals. Another risk that people will not need to worry about is looking into bright lights and using equipment. In my trailer I will be the person filming it meaning that none of my participants will be needing to worry.

Different Types Of Camera Shots

I have created a 'Prezi' presentation of different camera shots which I am considering using in my final trailer. By doing this it will allow me think more about the specific shots that I want to include in my trailer. From doing research into trailers I feel like it is very important to include a range of different shots. This is because it can make the trailer look a lot more interesting and give the audience that sense of excitement as they will be viewing the trailer from many different angles. If the trailer were to all be the same camera shot then this would look really boring and then could reflect on the overall film itself. This is why by including a range of camera shots it will make the trailer look exciting but also professional at the same time which Is what I hope my overall final trailer to look like.

Progress Blog - Second day of filming

Today is the 14th November and I have now completed some more of my filming. The shots that I filmed are going to be at the beginning of my trailer. I am really pleased with how they turned out as I think my actress Natasha is really good at getting the shots I need. It took me a while to do this filming as I needed to make sure that I got the shots perfect. I used a variety of different shots in these scenes meaning when I finally come to my editing I can put all the clips together and see which ones work best. I can also cut and copy different clips from the different camera angles meaning it could create more of a tense and suspense atmosphere for the audience as they do not know what is going on.

Plot:

When Amelia was younger her parents put her up for adoption. All they left with Amelia was a photo of the three of them together and then also a silver locket necklace. Amelia carries this everywhere she goes so she feels like her parents are with her. Even though she can’t remember being with her parents at all now she is at a suitable age she wants to go on her own to try and find them. Amelia keeps having the same dream about her parents putting her up for adoption which is starting to really upset her. This is why she wants to find her parents to find out answers. Amelia does a lot of research into where her parents are by looking on the internet, she then finds an old newspaper article online which links her to Dubai. Amelia tells her friend that she wants to go to Dubai as she needs to find out why they never kept her. However when she gets to Dubai everything goes wrong. Someone must know that she is in Dubai, she then gets followed outside her apartment/ hotel. Amelia then decides to leave her hotel room where she goes an explores the beautiful city of Dubai however she soon realises that she is getting watched and followed again. She doesn't know what to do. Amelia runs back to her hotel room where she facetimes her friend in a panic telling her what has gone on. However minutes later she starts hearing noises she doesn't know what to do so she runs into her room and gets under the bed. The men know she is here and then the final scene is of her screaming and being pulled from underneath the bed. I wanted to leave it on a cliff hanger as I feel like it will be really effective, especially in making the audience scared. I also wanted to leave the audience thinking what is going to happen next which could also help in then coming to watch the actual film itself. Are these men linked to Amelia's parents or not? Have Amelia's parents done something which is why she ended up in adoption?

The storyboard that I have created shows a brief summary of what I hope my final trailer is going to look like. However when filming I might come up with new ideas in which I think will be better for the trailer itself.

Storyboard of my final trailer

I used a website called Storyboard that to create this storyboard. By creating a storyboard it has made it a lot easier when filming my final trailer. This is because I will know exactly what I need to film in order for my trailer to be perfect. I have also written all the different camera shots that I will be using in my trailer. I feel that by using a range of camera shots this means that it will entice my audience more. It will also make it a lot more effective in following the genre of thriller. I will also do some research into the type of music that will go with the trailer. The music will be really tense as I want the trailer to create suspense, I will also then leave my trailer on a cliffhanger so then the audience will be thinking what is going to happen next.

Target Audience

Powered by emaze

As the film is a thriller I think that younger people will cover a large amount of the population that will come and watch the film. This is because they might like films that give them an adrenaline rush as they do not know what is going to happen next. They also might like the thrill of really jumpy scenes which will give them a scare. The majority of people that took part in my survey which I created were 18 years old or younger. The majority of them also put that they preferred thriller films over horror films. I have also used the other results that I found in my survey monkey in my ideas for my final trailer. However I believe that the trailer will really attract the teenagers and make them want to come and watch the actual film. I also feel that middle aged people would be another target audience for my trailer. This is because they might really like films that are jumpy. They could also go and watch it with their family. Over all I believe that people who are aged between 15-45 years old will be the target audience for my film. This is because I feel that from watching the trailer they will want to find out what happens next. I also feel like the majority of people who go and watch thriller films are aged between this.
